Transition

The new moon period we are now in marks the beginning of the Vedic New Year. The year we have been in, Substitute; which means sickness and death passes to the year Shavari which means twilight.

The new moon cycle we are now in is called Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra, which is associated with death and fire and rebirth.

Dusk is a time of transition.

Transition times were considered especially important in the Tantric tradition as they were seen as moments of stillness as one phase passed into another. In part, they took advantage of this silence to reach contact with a deeper truth. In part, they mark a transition from one cycle to another.
